In December 10, 2015, Dr. Nadiia Bureiko, expert of NGO “Quadrivium”, was invited to join the expert discussion devoted to the launching of the project – Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence 2015 – 2018 “In and Out: Understanding the European Union Beyond Its Borders”.

In December 10, 2015, Dr. Nadiia Bureiko, expert of NGO “Quadrivium”, was invited to join the expert discussion devoted to the launching of the project – Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence 2015 – 2018 “In and Out: Understanding the European Union Beyond Its Borders”. The project is aimed at developing  border management trainings for frontier workers from Romania, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. Its added value consists of creating an innovative cross-national approach of the EU border management between Romania, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, thus contributing to improving the frontier workers’ skills and competences and the cross-national cooperation.
The project is co-financed by the European Commission, Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency through the ERASMUS+ Programme and is hosted by the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration, Department of International Relations and European Integration – Centre for European Studies (Bucharest, Romania).

The representatives of authorities, academia and civic society participated at the first opening event of the project. This working meeting was to discuss the perspectives of the project implementation and a joint research of the EU border management within Romania – Republic of Moldova – Ukraine. Dr. Bureiko had a presentation on the crisis in Ukraine and its security implications for Republic of Moldova and Romania. Besides, she shared her vision on the ways of developing the research agenda of the project and its educational component. Ms Bureiko also emphasized on the necessity to engage the civic society for better achieving the project goals at the grassroots.
