In October 20, 2016 in order to disseminate the Ukrainian scientists’ intellectual product Quadrivium organized a public lecture entitled “Hetmans of Ukraine: the collective historical and anthropological portrait”. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Taras Chuhlib, Ukrainian historian, doctor of historical sciences, senior researcher at the Institute of History of Ukraine at the National Academy of Science of Ukraine, Director of the Research Institute of Cossacks. He also present his book “Hetmans of Ukraine: War, Politics, Love”.

Who were the hetmans of Ukraine – powerful Cossacks’ leaders, rulers of the state, leaders of the armed robber groups, prominent diplomats and great intellectuals of their time? How did their private and daily lives look like? The lecturer spoke on many interesting and spicy aspects of hetmans’ life.
