organized in Chernivtsi on December 10-14, 2014
The School of European Studies is a project of the EU Delegation to Ukraine implemented in cooperation with the Ukrainian Educational Center of Reforms.
Administrative Managerof NGO “Quadrivium’’ Marichka Protsyuk participated in the 10th five-day training session of the School with the other 40 representatives of Ukrainian youth from the western regions of Ukraine. The training session included a combination of lectures with interactive methods (for example, “The model of the EU”, “The EU values” game etc.), discussions and interesting entertainment.
The school provides Ukrainian students and graduates with an opportunity to learn more about the European Union from the best experts from the EU and Ukraine, to exploredeeply the main issues of relations between Ukraine and the EU in all key areas (politics, economy, energy, visa issues, education, human rights), to meet representatives of the EU institutions, leading experts and researchers, to create a network of active and educated young people who support European integration of Ukraine.
Among the lecturers and guests of the EU Study Days in Chernivtsi there were prominent scientists, political and public figures, experts, diplomats and journalists, in particular”: Mykhailo Kirsenko (professor of the Historical department, the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”), Vitaliy Moroz (Director of New Media department, the NGO “Internews Ukraine”), Jurgis Vilchinskas (Head of the Press and Information Section, the EU Delegation to Ukraine), Victoria Davydova (Advisor on Press and Information issues, the EU Delegation to Ukraine), Volodymyr Hushuley (Alumni Association, the College of Europe in Ukraine), Tetiana Oharkova (culturologist, publicist, the author of materials in the project “Life of Europeans”), Dmytro Kuleba (Ambassador at Large, MFA of Ukraine), Oleksandr Banchuk (expert on administrative tort law and criminal justice, Centre for Political and Legal Reforms), Myhailo Honchar (President of the Globalistic Center “Strategy XXI”), Taras Kachka (Vice-President of the American Chamber of Commerce, member of the Ukrainian negotiating group on the Association Agreement with the EU).
Volodymyr Yermolenko – PhD, Senior Lecturer at Department of Philosophy and Department of Literature and Foreign Languages (Kyiv-Mohyla Academy), expert at NGO “Internews Ukraine” – was a moderator of the School of European Studies.
As the organizers notice, the project “School of European Studies (EU Study Days)” aims to create a network of young people in Ukraine who will communicate after school in the future and will exchange their experience.
