June 3, 2015 a Round table “Humanitarian policy and cultural diplomacy of Ukraine” will take place in Chernivtsi. The event is organized by the Kyiv office of the Kennan Institute at the International Center for Scholars Woodrow Wilson and the Fulbright Scholar Program, and by NGO “Quadrivium” (as co-organizer) with the assistance of YuriyFedkovych Chernivtsi National University. The following questions will be discussed in the frameworks of the Round table: • The relevance of cultural diplomacy development in Ukraine. What international practices are necessary to be used? • Will the Ukrainian Institute be created? Isthere the governmental strategy of its development and action plan of its program activities? • What do the diplomatic missions do to spread cultural product of Ukraine in the world? • How to unite all partners for the development of cultural diplomacy and how to seek the financing for the realization of its systematic initiatives? Presentation of the research grant programs of the Kennan Institute at the International Center for Scholars Woodrow Wilson and the Fulbright Scholar Program will be held during the round table. Also there will be presented the specialized number of the “Agora” journal entitled “Museums and cultural diplomacy”. Professors and teaching staff of the YuriyFedkovych Chernivtsi National University, representatives of the Chernivtsi museum community and all interested persons are gladly invited for the work of the Round table.
