The fifth day of joint Ukrainian-Polish project “United by future” took place in the town of Suha Beskidzka. It was marked by several extremely interesting meetings and events.

The fifth day of joint Ukrainian-Polish project “United by future” took place in the town of Suha Beskidzka. It was marked by several extremely interesting meetings and events.

The morning meeting with the journalist of the Polish newspaper «Gazeta Polska» Wojciech Mukha turned into a discussion whether the changes after the Revolution of Dignity in the collective consciousness of Ukrainians could become a grain to sprout in Ukrainian soil as qualitative transformations in the society. Wojciech Mucha also modeled the situation of incitement the Ukrainian-Polish hostility and showed how easily it is to spoil bilateral relations even without the participation of Russia. It was also briefly discussed whether the future of Russia with a new president could promote changes in foreign and domestic policy of this country.

In turn, the Ukrainian side presented lecture on “Barriers in the Ukrainian-Polish relations and ways to overcome them” by Dr. Serhii Dobrzhanskyy, associate professor at the Department of History of Ukraine, Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.  He spoke about the most ambiguous and controversial events throughout the history of Ukrainian-Polish relations. The focus was made on importance to know the past by both sides not to repeat mistakes in the future.

In the afternoon member of the NGO “Quadrivium”, PhD student at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University Marichka Protsyuk within the panel on the components of civil society, NGOs and their impact on the state offered the participants an interactive game dedicated to the values that ultimately provoked lively discussion and ardent debate.

The final event of the official schedule of the day was the tournament in various sports, in which joint Ukrainian-Polish teams participated and showed their exceptional skills, craft and cohesion. Indeed, healthy mind is in healthy body!
