In October 5, 2018 at the Centre for Romanian studies, Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations, Yyrii Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, in a workshop format the ongoing phase of the international scientific project ‘Bukovyna as a Contact Zone’ was presented by the research team. The project is jointly implemented by the Ukrainian and Romanian research network with a support and under umbrella of the Centre for Culture and Governance in Europe, the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland). The project is a part of ”Transcultural Contact Zones’ research initiative, includes both quantitative and qualitative methods, envisages theoretical rethinking of the Ukrainian-Romanian borderland and  offers the most novel empirical data to support the research hypothesis and to bring the evidence to the main arguments.
